Another display of superiority by Vettel and RedBull
Vettel beats the tifosis at their homeland Italy with clean superiority right from the start. The Red Bull driver was virtually unchallenged through out the race despite early tyre wear concerns. Vettel deepened his act post the summer break becoming the first driver to win consecutive races this season and it clearly shows the triple world champion is strengthening his claim on his fourth consecutive title without any challenge from the opposition. This is Vettel´s third victory in Monza, 32nd in career and sixth victory of 2013.
Alonso on the home team Ferrari tried his level best to challenge Vettel for the victory but the Red Bull package seemed unstoppable and Ferrari had no answer to getting close to victory or the slipping title chances..
Mark Webber despite a poor start loosing out to the Ferrari´s of Massa and Alonso, managed to get into the podium ahead of Massa even with some gear box issues.
The real highlight of the race happened with Lewis Hamilton who displayed some amazing overtaking and fastest lapsin the latter stages to enroute to the 9th with a 2 stopper after starting 12th, while most others had just 1 stop,
Hulkenberg, Rosberg, Ricciardo and Grosjean slotted between Massa and Hamilton while Jenson Button grabbed the final championship point with 10th place ahead of Raikkonen who got hit on lap1 and had to pit in early for a front wing change.
Force India´s Paul Di Resta was the first retirement of the race of Lap 1 while team mate Sutil retired one lap from the end.
With the championship moving on to the final part of the season and out of Europe, Vettel leads closest rival Alonso by a hefty 53points going on to the next race in Singapore.
